Ste. Genevieve, MO - Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital (SGCMH) Medical Staff welcomes Humza Saleem, MD, to its staff to offer general surgery services to patients at Sharlow Surgical Clinic.

Dr. Sharlow, SGCMH Chief of Staff looks forward to working with him.

“We are thrilled that Dr. Saleem is joining our team,” stated Dr. Sharlow, SGCMH Chief of Staff. “He has excellent training, is very personable and committed to caring for our community.”

Dr. Saleem attended medical school at Charles University and completed his general surgery residency at Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Florida.

He joins the medical staff as a general surgeon specializing in minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopy. Minimally invasive surgery is when doctors use a variety of techniques to operate with less damage to the body than with open surgery. The surgical incisions heal faster and many patients can go home sooner.

“Having surgery requires a lot of trust in the physician,” he says. “I want all my patients to know their needs are my top priority.”

Dr. Saleem is accepting new patients at Sharlow Surgical Clinic, 800 Ste. Genevieve Drive, Ste. Genevieve, MO. To schedule an appointment call 573-883-5717.

When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Saleem enjoys running, skiing and finding new restaurants with his wife. He also enjoys the small town atmosphere of Ste. Genevieve.

“Ste. Genevieve is a lovely, close-knit community,” he says. “I’m thrilled to be here.”
