SGCMH rheumatology specialists provide diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting joints, muscles, and bones. These conditions can eventually cause pain, swelling, stiffness, and possibly joint deformities. Common conditions that rheumatologists treat are osteoarthritis, lupus, chronic back pain, and tendinitis.
Our rheumatologists will work hard to provide comprehensive care for our patients to figure out the cause of the patients’ musculoskeletal problem. The process could include multiple testing as well as imaging studies. The results of the tests will determine the source of the symptoms the patient has, which will help our specialists construct a personalized treatment plan. Other treatment plans include medicine, physical or occupational therapy, and joint/tendon injections.
