The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends that teenage girls first see a gynecologist between the ages of 13 and 15. Most girls will not need a pelvic exam during their first visit.  It is an opportunity to talk to their provider to get accurate information and confidential answers to questions about sex, sexuality, and any changes to their body they may be experiencing as they are coming into womanhood.  Additionally, they can discuss healthy lifestyles and more.  We understand how the changes in life can be challenging and we want to help.
